"We stayed in Room number one. It was incredible. It was such a wonderful experience to stay in a historic building that had modern amenities and a lot of space. The room decorations and sliding doors were beautiful. The living room overlooks the garden. Everything was clean. There are stairs to climb to get up to the room. We will...

"Perfect stay in a nice area. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a hot shower; what more could you want. "

"We had adequate space for 3 people- one room is mats only. The shower and tub is fabulous. You have good access to stations and buses. We had one day where the air conditioner wasn’t working right but staff were able to remedy that, The only disappointment was the staff would not call a taxi for us."

"Easy walking distance from the Nijo station. The on-site bath/onsen is a bonus."

"Lovely place to stay in an area of Kyoto that’s close to a few large, beautiful shrines. Really great room complemented by a wonderful, helpful staff. Would love to stay here again!"

"Great for solo travelers with a car. The covered parking is convenient and the staff was polite."

"Laundry was a nice option to have in the middle of our vacay. Super close to the castle and reasonably close to metro and bus stop to make getting around easy."
