"Overall rating this hotel poorly for a number of reasons. First and most importantly the beds. Mattresses were way too soft or overused and sleeping there started causing back issues by day 3. We did ask the staff and they were helpful trying to fix the situation and although it improved (they changed the mattress pad) it was still uncomfortable. So if you don’t like soft or sunken mattresses I would avoid. Second is location. Location is fine in terms of how close it is to some tourist attractions but it is one the outer edges of the “nice” area and the neighborhood feels less inviting. It’s good if you want a bit of quiet but not ideal otherwise. The good: Staff like always in Japan was amazing. Rooms are cute and pretty, albeit small. Property is overall clean and cozy. "

"Location was good. Staff were professional and kind. For the price the rooms are good. One issue was not being able to control temp in room. It was way too warm for us. And the step up bathroom did take some getting use to "

"Our rooms both smelled like cigarette smoke and there was confusion over one of the rooms that we had booked for three people, but which only had 2 single beds. It should have never been listed as being available for 3 people, and it took about 45 minutes to get it sorted out with the staff saying the disclosures should have told us it only had beds for 2 people. But then why did it ever show up as an option for 3 people through hotels.com? They had breakfast passes for 3 people for that room so clearly knew 3 were staying there, but there were still only beds for 2 people. "

"The room was on the small side but spotlessly clean and the shower was great! Beds were very comfy. Breakfast had lots of choice & staff at check in were friendly & helpful."
