"Staff were great, the hotel looked stunning and the grounds were amazing. The breakfast was delicious too. The room we had was in the attic so I kept hitting my head, the main light in the room was above the doorway which was around a corner so didn’t really help at all. There was water and hair in the bottom of the shower when we arrived as if someone had only just had a shower. There were patches of damp in the room around the window and on the ceiling."

"Room was big and the bed was big. Very clean throughout. The walls and headboards were a little tired looking. Our first room had faulty air con and on our last night we were given another room. We got a 30% refund for the nights we had no air con. The screen casting worked well in our first room but didn't work in the new room we moved to and the engineer, while very polite, didn't understand the issue either. The bar, breakfasts and staff were very nice."

"Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. "We had a good stay at Premier Inn Durham North overall. When we arrived, there was an issue with our booking payment. We had already paid through Expedia, but at reception we were initially told that the payment had not gone through and that we would need to pay the full amount again. The receptionist was not very friendly at first and said that this was not their problem, which felt quite stressful after a long journey. In the end, he made a phone call and we were given our room, so the issue...

"There was no breakfast available despite the description stating there was. The bath had no plug & the electric shower was very temperamental (from cold to scalding). The decor left a lot to be desired with nails/screws sticking out of the walls. There wasn’t a TV in each room & bedroom furniture was unstable."

"Pleasant stay at the Seaton Lane Inn with a little hiccup of no towels in the room on arrival but was remedied straightaway. Check in was quick and easy although steep stairs to the upper level of the Inn rooms. May be a little difficult for older people to negotiate these. Had food in the restraunt one night and enjoyed the steak which was cooked as asked and the service was also good from the waiter. Check out was also quick and easy so a very good stay at a good hotel."
