When you are just arriving, the surrounding area might look a bit different than expected, but it seemed very safe and once you walk into the city it is very nice and cute. "We were only here one night, but this hotel was great! From our room, we had a view of the street below and the sea in the distance. Our hotel wasn't necessarily *close* to all the food/shopping or the fort, but it was within a reasonable walk that felt safe to us. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing any information we needed and helping us set up a taxi the next morning. "Evva was really friendly and helpful, and our accommodation was spacious and comfortable. We didn't like the fact that the shower was handheld only. Also, the villa is located at the stop of a very steep hill, so although the town enter is not far away, it's not the easiest walk."
