"My family and I stayed at Dreams La Romana Resort & Spa and we had amazing stay. The staff was very professional, there was not one place throughout the resort where we walked and the staff wouldn’t greet us and ask if we needed anything. The hospitality here was top notch. Food was amazing. Had an amazing experience checking in with a very charismatic young man. Our host, Byron, was very helpful and welcoming. We had one of those reserved dinners in front of the ocean and our host Joel was amazing. Everyone here seemed to be very hardworking and you can tell they genuinely care about you. Overall, we had a beautiful experience. The resort is very clean and well maintained, beautiful design and views. Beautiful staff. Come to this resort. "

"Very nice place and brilliant idea to have accommodations on Saona Island. Highly recommend. Not the Taj Mahal or a 5 star but what is? Clean and comfortable and the AC (mini split) works like a champ as does the ceiling fan and all electrical outlets. And the toilet works. Nice bed and bedding and great host. The area is rustic and bare bones but that is a charm too. Go eat where you see flamingos. Nice variety. Good folks and a throw back area to when life was slower and without screens running our lives. If you want an all inclusive easy peasy lifestyle this ain’t it. If you want to deplug from the matrix a day or two this is the place to do it. You will appreciate the things you that have more and want less the things you think you must have. Isn’t that the best place a vacation should get you to? "

"I love this place, but I feel a bit weird writing a review, because after our vacation, I feel like our family has become friends with the host family... This place wonderful -- but maybe not for everyone! This place is still evolving. When we went there, it had only been in business for about six months. If you need all the most modern toys and conveniences, then look elsewhere. (For example, when we stayed, there was no air conditioning, but this was fine because the owner had designed the houses to have excellent airflow. You really don't need A/C! And at night, you will probably need a light blanket!) But if you want a true vacation, where afterwards you feel you really have relaxed, decompressed, and recharged, this place is wonderful. The biggest factor is the host family: wonderful people. Warm, genuine, really lovely. In particular, Bayahibe is already known to be a safer destination in DR for women, especially solo travelers, but Eco-hotel feels extra safe because of the care and warmth of the host and his family. Our family really enjoyed this place, and fell in love with their family... Fantastic!"
