"Amazing ! Everything from the facilities, the view, the staff, and the breakfast. Plenty of parking and they also have daily planned activities that you can participate."

"The view from our room was amazing! The view alone made the hotel great. The room needs a bit of an update but it was good for the one night we stayed. The floors were very creaky and the rooms were not soundproof so you could hear any noise from the hallway. I was a bit confused about where to check in but the staff was kind and helpful. I liked how quiet the area was and it was not a very busy street, but didn’t have great cell service. We had no issues finding parking when we stayed. We...

"Lovely property, located very close to the port and everything you need. Also the view from the rooftop bar was excellent for sitting and enjoying a poncha🙂"

"The hotel has a great location next to the Cathedral. Only problem is that it’s hard to get to with luggage, since cars & taxis can not get to the entrance. All the employees were helpful, talkative, and enjoyable. The free breakfast has a huge assortment of goodies and even hot items.. The one problem I do want to address is parking your car. When I reserved, it said parking available.. For some reason, I expected it nearby and free. The parking lot is a good 15 minutes walk from the hotel....

"Fabulous hotel stay. Large room with very comfortable beds, house keeping excellent, breakfast very good with excellent hot and cold food choices. Amazing pool with various sunbathing areas and sufficient loungers. Good snack bar for lunches and drinks by pool. Good indoor pool with sauna and steam room. Walkable into old town, with supermarket, and good bars and restaurants in local vicinity."

"The location and views were amazing, but unfortunately, several aspects of our stay were disappointing. There was an overwhelming smell of vinegar in the room, and the patio was covered in ants, which really detracted from the experience. We were also shocked to discover that pool towels cost €10. Charging guests extra for something as basic as a pool towel feels unreasonable and left a poor impression. We can’t comment on the breakfast itself, as we had to check out before 7 a.m. We did,...

"Excellent location but tricky to find if driving. No onsite parking"

"Top hotel"

"L’hôtel est très bien située, le rooftop avec le restaurant et la piscine sont appréciés. Le petit déjeuner est très varié et très bon. La boîte à petit déjeuner lorsqu’on doit quitter tôt est bienvenue mais elle pourrait être améliorée: un croissant au lieu du pain blanc tranche."

"Good location, we walked into town a few times or a short bus/taxi ride. Bus right outside the hotel including the airport bus. Really good breakfast, some more vegetarian options would be great. Staff especially reception staff were really helpful. Didn't like: upgrading to partial sea view was disappointing."

"Lovely hotel with great sea views. Charming staff and great location to explore Funchal"

"The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean with very comfortable beds and the pool and sea view were great."
