The staff was amazing and made the stay 5 stars. The surrounding area wasn’t great (lots of homeless, bodily waste, and drug paraphernalia), but food, shopping, public transportation, walkability were great if you don’t mind having to get through quite a lot of homeless for a few blocks.

Awesome place for nostalgia. Staff were inviting and always helpful with anything you need. Awesome donuts on the weekend. Definitely could use some simple upgrades like a towel rack/ mini fridge. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was safe. Pool was clean and warm. Water dispenser was broken. Beds were clean and comfortable. The property was well kept and absolutely beautiful at dusk when the outside lights turn on. Feels like you're not even in the city. (Except we heard gunshots at about 2:45am) There's no fridge or microwave in rooms which was a bummer but they did have an ice machine. Overall great stay and will probably be returning someday.

The hotel itself was nice given the location, I felt very safe as a solo traveler and the staff was friendly and genuine! The only thing I would’ve liked was there to be a mini fridge and microwave in the room as I had leftover food that I couldn’t store and eat later but other than that my stay was great! Would definitely book again if need be!!
