The property was clean, comfortable, and had everything required for our stay. Breakfast was good, and the available parking was very convenient. "The hotel is in a superb location and the gardens are beautiful. We enjoyed delicious evening meals in the bar and breakfast was good with great views if you managed to get a table in the conservatory. The room was fine with a comfy bed and fabulous Mountain View’s a good selection of tea/coffee. The bathroom was disappointing though, there were rust marks on the wall and bath from the handrail over the bath and the towel rail was very close to the toilet so I think if it had been on you may burn yourself. This would not deter us from staying again but it does make the room appear in need of improvement."

"The room and bathroom was great. Really clean, quiet and relaxing. We were able to take our dog also which was great. There is food available in the restaurant but quite expensive so we went elsewhere. Only negative was the nearest town had nowhere to eat out (it was quite run down) so we had to drive further afield for dinner but found a lovely pub called The Grape which did nice, reasonably priced food. I guess this hotel is a good base for hikers and nicely located next to zip world."
