"Stanbrook Abbey Hotel is amazing in all respects. It’s historical and very attractive set in extensive grounds. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and comfortable. The staff are lovely and very helpful. I only had one meal in the hotel and it was excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, it’s great."

I found out no lift Expedia said couldn't ca cel without losing my money,when I told them this they said not a problem they would have returned it,again thanks for nothing Expedia. "The property has recently been purchased by a new owner who has started to modernise the building. The hotel room that we stayed in was very large with a very comfortable bed and plenty of furniture to store items for a longer stay. There were the usual refreshment facilities that were stocked up everyday and the room was nice and clean with an excellent bathroom. The staff were very welcoming, professional and always happy to serve. The restaurant food was very good quality and the portions...

"Parking can be a problem if arriving later in the evening. Follow instructions given by owners. Breakfast is great staff friendly and helpful. Keep entry instructions handy as had a little trouble finding codes. Rooms 7 and 8 are not where you'd think !"

They were so helpful in arranging an early check-in for us and even found a room where we could get ready before attending a wedding, which made the whole day much less stressful.
