Lovely old (Tudor?) building with traditional wooden features, heaps of unique character and a charming pub on the ground floor! Staff were friendly and efficient and the standard hamper breakfast brought to the door on time. No parking as located in city centre but therefore walkable to many touristic amenities and facilities. Would happily stay again and recommend to others.

Gorgeous historic pub with lovely rooms.

I stayed in the King John room. Had a double poster bed and a lovely bathroom. The pub has loads of character and the room was very comfortable. A picnic hamper for breakfast was lovely.

Very nice rooms in a characterful old pub. Good breakfast, great cask beers and very nice staff. The room was a little hot given the warm weather, but a small price to pay.

Great staff, spacious room, very hot day and our room had a fan, brilliant. Only negative, the carpet wasn't in the best condition, however, for a busy pub with a lot of guests it wasn't a big issue.

Pros: Friendly staff, clean room and great shower, close by NCP parking that came in at £7.80 for 24hrs, staff were happy to refund breakfast payment. Cons: Room freezing to start with! (heating had not been put on), bed matress not for those with a bad back, council bin run at 5am and local building works very noisy (not hotel's fault), staff did not inform us that breakfast slot had a 10 minute limit - arrived at 9.10am to be told too late and would not be served!!!!! How rude. Over all would try again in the summer perhaps, if other city center hotels were full. Beer was well kept and bar was busy.

Lovely character hotel

This hotel is perfect if you want to stay in a traditional English pub that is oozing character. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and very tasty continental breakfast. Definitely recommended 😀

Great pub in Worcester to stay

We loved the Cardinal’s Hat. Fantastic pub and a wonderful place to stay. The bedrooms have been refurbished to a very high standard, beautiful comfy bed and very clean. Fantastic breakfast. Only sorry that we couldn’t stay longer but we will definitely return.

Lovely old pub, very atmospheric. Room was a little small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast (we paid extra for full English) was very good and freshly prepared.

Great location.

Great location, however if you’re in a car , it’s very difficult to find a spot and the NCP right opposite the hotel has an entrance a 7 minute drive away but a lot longer in rush hour . The hotel does not have any private parking! .

An historic property in the heart of the tourist area. Beautiful streets, buildings and pubs. Great breakfast options, 5 lb full English or continental delivery to room door. Lovely staff, nice room. And a pub right downstairs!
