"Fantastic location near so many sights and shops"

"Ein schönes und großzügiges Zimmer für eine Familie mit einem separaten Schlafzimmer und Bad. Sehr gut und ruhig gelegen. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen."

"Our stay at Imperial Hotel Kyoto was excellent from start to finish. The service was outstanding— attentive and professional, with every detail taken care of. Our room was comfortable and immaculate. One of our favorite parts of the stay was the rooftop. It was such a wonderful space to relax, take in the views and enjoy the atmosphere of Kyoto. "The staff were very helpful and attentive. When we arrived after the scheduled check-in time, we were greeted kindly and the staff member took additional steps to make sure our stay was comfortable. The hotel location is perfect. Everything from transportation, dining, shopping and nightlife is within walking distance."

"Great spot! You're right next to the train station (Keihan Line) which is perfect if you want to do a spontaneous Osaka Day Trip or get closer to the temples! The staff are very accommodating and helpful. The area has nearby food options (more local and less touristy)."

"I didn't expect that it would be a whole house just for myself! The service was splendid, very polite and helpful. The house has everything you need, i.e. all the dishes. The interior is traditional and, very comfortable and nice."

"Excellent stay, very clean and comfortable. Great amenities in the room as well as in the front lobby area (coffee machine, beer, sake, soft drink and orange juice) all of which is complementary. Great area, lots of food and shopping options."

"We loved staying here and would definitely stay again if we visited Kyoto. Very friendly and helpful staff, amenities available to us were really useful and our room was perfect for what we needed. We also loved the convenient location to local temples, shopping, restaurants and multiple local train stations which made getting around very easy even with our baby. Very glad we chose to stay at this hotel and would recommend to anyone."

"The suite we stayed in was amazing. The staff were so kind and the hotel itself is beautiful."

"Location!"

"Incredibly convenient location; lovely, simple and spacious clean room with comfortable beds and good pillows (harder to find in Japan than you might think!). Best shower ever (rain head). Room was surprisingly quiet considering the location. We really loved this accomodation. DO NOT MISS eating at Kyoto Gyoza enen Gion honten which is diagonally opposite for the most delicious gyoza ever (prepare to wait unless you arrive on opening)."

"This quaint hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and rooms were a good size. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in Kyoto. It was a short walk to Nishiki market and had tons of local restaurants near it too."

"This is a wonderful hotel. The rooms are ergonomically designed. Breakfast is wonderful. The view of the river and the panoramic view of Higashiyama from the bar and lobby lounge is great. There is even a lounge and patio with a firepit and complementary wine and marshmallows. Do not miss out on the Shimabara Tayu show if you happen to be there. And only a few steps away is the river and Gion area, the gateway to everything. The staff are so kind and helpful. We loved our stay here."

"The room felt spacious relative to other hotels we visited in Japan, and everything was clean. They supplied all the standard amenities for our stay. The only drawback was the lack of daily room cleaning and a laundry room; however, they replaced our towels everyday, and also shared details about a laundromat three minutes away from the hotel. The staff were very kind and assisted with forwarding our luggage to our next stop."

"We had such a wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by everything. The location is amazing, and the hotel has such a lovely atmosphere that makes you feel welcome right away. All of the staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming, which really made our experience even more special. One of our favorite things was how peaceful the hotel felt. It’s just far enough away from all the noise and busy streets, so you can truly relax and enjoy your stay....

"We will definitely be back! Love everything from location, room, staff and great vegetarian breakfast!!!"
