"We stayed 2 nights at the end of August. We had a beautiful and comfortable room at one of the gatehouses. "I thought the staff was super accomodating and my room was great. I would have liked to have had a bathtub but those seem increasingly rare these days. I tried to have dinner out for my last evening and the front desk staff said they would make a reservation. The resturant was full (it was just for one person) and rather than help me or suggest other alternatives the staff simply said, "Sorry, it is not possible." So I ordered room service. :( In hindsight, he should have, could have done more...

"Checking in was easy and the gentleman was very helpful with suggestions on what to do and where to go. This hotel is 10 minutes walk from the ferry terminal, so is ideal for those about to leave France or who have just arrived and looking for an excellent place to stay. The rooms are very clean and tidy and quiet."
