Amazing location right in the centre of the old town, conveniently located close to public parking. Wifi was better than in most similar hotels in the region, the bed was not too hard, decent sized bathroom.
Bristo is a nice cozy hotel, we feel warm welcoming from booking confirmation email to our acutal check-in and check-out. Situate at central of old Saint-Malo area, where the main attraction and good restaurant are all nearby, we love this hotel and will certainly come back if we have next visit to Saint-Malo.
This is a lovely small hotel in a great location inside the walls of the old city, not far from the parking. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was very good and the breakfast room charming.
Hotel owners are there to help make your stay enjo
The owners are lovely people who are personally involved in making your stay comfortable with their home made breakfast and local recommendations They answered my email questions rapidly and made our stay most enjoyable
Staff were always most helpful ,room attended everyday and a breath of fresh air seeing all those happy faces , treated as members of family nothing too much trouble.

Wonderful hosts. Very personable. Provided maps and advice. Great breakfast, fresh baked. All superlatives.
Arrived on early morning ferry and very pleased to be able to leave cases ahead of check-in. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were excellent and we were thrilled to be upgraded. Breakfast was fantastic with many lovely homemade items. Our gluten-free friend was also catered for which was appreciated. Thank you very much, we hope to see you again :)
This is a lovely boutique hotel. The staff went out of their way to help us park our car when the Tour de France was about to start from St Malo and the streets were being blocked by the police so there was no available parking. One of the staff came with me in my car, and when we couldn’t find a space in the citadel, he took his car and I followed him in mine in order to find a parking space outside the citadel. He went above and beyond to help us, which was a kind act, and very much appreciated. The breakfast was good quality and tasty and we felt like we were very well looked after. We loved the town, and would definitely go back, and we would stay at this lovely hotel again because of the real hospitality.

My go to Hotel in Saint-Malo
Well appointed in the citadel, with a welcoming reception lobby. My room was on the third floor facing inward so was quiet ( the odd seagull but nothing to disturb a good night’s sleep!) Ensuite with a good strong shower. No aircon but a good circulating fan provided and a window that could be safely and securely left open
This hotel is in an excellent location for exploring Saint-Malo. The room itself was well decorated and clean. Unfortunately they had not spotted the drinking cups were dirty in our room, but this could easily be fixed. In the 'cosy' class of room, it is quite a compact space with a toilet in as small of a space as possible. If you are a larger person, you may want to think twice, but it worked for us!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
This was the tiniest room I stayed in during my 2 week trip with 8 different hotels. The amenities were poor. There was no coffee maker in the room. No shampoo or shower gel in the shower. The hotel lobby has seating for perhaps only 4 people. The location is excellent. But the price was very high for a property that offers so little luxury.
The hotel is located within the walls of the old city. This made is close to all the activities in the old city. We had the Condor Ferry to catch the next morning and they showed us on a map how to get there. They also warned us of the times when the bridge would not be accessible. The walk to the ferry was short and Plesant. They had bottles of fresh water for us every time we entered and provided us with coffee and tea when we checked in. The elevator was small, but we were able to make it upstairs in two trips. I will stay there again when I come back to town.
