"The property is well situated about half way if doing the Douro drive loop. Grounds are lovely with rooms overlooking vineyards - very serene and quiet. Lots of onsite parking. Staff encourage picking and eating fruit off the trees - the oranges are excellent! There is a nice pool area. "Elvira and Katerina were one of the highlights, just after the beautiful surroundings and installations. We reached the hotel by rental car from Porto, 1 hour and 40 minutes. The hotel is on top of a hill full of vineyards, and what a beautiful view of the river the hotel has. In the morning breakfast is served beautifully.
