Anna greeted us upon arrival and not only checked us in, but walked us to our room. The property is wonderful, clean, well attended and in a perfect location. Staff are always available and smiling. Breakfast buffets are numerous, plentiful and delicious. We enjoyed our room with a balcony overlooking the river very much.

Beautiful place with very professional friendly staff. I had a lovely stay. This place is centrally located and can walk (or hike) to many Quintas nearby. Very clean and comfortable. The Breakfast was great. I had dinner in their restaurant with some modern twist- fantastic experience. If you like peaceful yet comfortable place with old charm- highly recommend.

A perfect stay

We enjoyed our stay here at this beautiful hotel. The view from our room of the Douro river was amazing. The hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly. We had an absolutely delicious dinner in the hotel restaurant and the breakfast buffet was wonderful. The hotel location is perfect; the waterfront, wineries and the town are all within walking distance. A perfect stay!

Wineries around the area, the Douro river, and lookout points are fantastic, amazing, beyond words at times. However, the surrounding town doesnt offer much else. The train station was cool but "short n sweet", much cooler if actually travelling by train.

Perfect spot in Pinhao to explore from. Reception was brilliant and accommodated holding our bags until the room was ready. They provided early check in so we could enjoy the afternoon at the pool. Every staff member was courtesy and welcoming.

Great experience! View of the Douro Valley was amazing, hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and the property overall was exactly the kind of relaxation we were hoping for. Very convenient location to the boats and train station. A real gem.

We enjoyed this hotel. We had a lovely room with a terrace overlooking the Douro River. Dinner in the luxury dining room was excellent but expensive. Bar food was good and reasonably priced. The pool was nice. We enjoyed the town with winery visits and boat trips. The only really odd thing was that the bottom of the shower door does not come to the floor and water flooded the bathroom floor. This happened to our friends also, so it was not just our room. You learn to stand in one small spot to wash. Odd, I would say.

The property is lovely. Could use some updating. Got stuck in the elevator but it was quickly resolved. Our suite was large and comfortable. Removing the carpet and putting in wood floors would make it feel fresher and cleaner.

Beautiful property with fabulous views from patio and balcony. Very good breakfast with best pasteries we've had in Portugal. Great staff and very good food both on the patio and the restaurant. Fantastic location overlooking the river. If relaxing in a luxury accommodation is what you are after, this is the hotel for you. Food and beverage options are fantastic. The only downside was the walk to your room with your luggage was long and difficult.

Beautiful property in a wonderful location. The staff was very nice and professional. We had great experience and enjoyed our stay. The food quality in restaurant for dinner was sub par for a high end property and the prices they are charging. The restaurant staff was nice and ambiance was great.

Beautiful property with great views, excellent staff. Convenient walk to town and at least one or two Quinta's (vineyards). Lovely pool and deck. Outdoor patio bar. Only not: breakfast and dinner menu pricey. But food excellent.
