"I was surprised honestly when I finally arrived at the property. The woman at the front desk was very helpful and very kind. However, the place looked nothing like the photos. It doesn’t look well maintained, the floorboards were coming up, there were stains/bugs in a lot of places of our rooms. The boats were not well taken care of, however it was really nice to have a private beach and to be able to use the boats for free. "If I could give MacTaverne more stars I would. Wished we stayed an extra night. Right off the trail of Le P’tit Train du Nord. Staff was incredible and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Food was excellent! Rooms were very clean and updated. I would 100% recommend and hope to stay there again the future. MacTaverne is a must."
