"The room it self was good but the bathroom had a mould smell that strong that we couldn't stay in the bath room for long. We kept the bathroom door closed all the time to stop the smell from coming out. It was room 57. The other rooms might have been ok. I told cleaning staff. The pub at the front of the hotel was good."

They had no knowledge of my booking through Expedia when I ran to check but then subsequently told me that the room was still available and they booked the room directly for me. I heard nothing from them prior to my arrival regarding key code entry to the property and to the room. "Lovely, homely hotel just outside the town centre. Easy parking, lovely room and comfortable king bed. We booked the room with breakfast which was good value. Our room was on the second floor, which I didn’t see in the room description. The stairs are quite narrow on the tread, and steep, so if this is an issue check room location before confirming. Otherwise, an excellent place for a New Forest stay."
