"Staying here was amazing. The room was just what I needed for my one night stay in Durham. The bus stop wasn’t far away and was very easy to get into the city center. I arrived a little bit early and they didn’t even flinch to get me into my room. Highly recommend!"

"Excellent"

"First time at the guest house got a lot more bookings coming up"

"Check in was not good. I traveled from a different country and needed wifi to get a code. I had to drive 5 miles to get to a friend to call the owners. The owners were in and out of service so they could only text. When i finally got the proper code. It was 5 flights of steep stairs. It should have been told how many flights of stairs to go with a large suitcase."

"Everything is great, you even have tea, coffee , hot chocolate , milk, sugar and chocolates on the pillows. Very professional in every way and so helpful and thoughtful"

"Stayed one night ahead of a day in Durham. Easy access to the town, good food and room. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent B&B"

"The room was in need of updating, worn and dirty carpets, shabby draperies."

"Hosts are polite and lively and room was beautifully decorated."

"Location perfect for our day at the races. Staff all very friendly. Food in restaurant amazing. Bed not the comfiest but I do have a bad back. Room small but love the old style decor. Gave it character. Bathroom small."

They were not serving food, but encouraged us to get takeaway (there's a Chinese chippy next door) and provided us plates and cutlery. Their drinks are inexpensive. The...

"The only thing going for this place was the central location, near to historic sites and restaurants. The faults were many. It was advertised as a B&B, but breakfasts had ceased in June of this year. the room was shabby and claustrophobic. dust and grime were apparent throughout. the shower room was cramped and mould was apparent. The shower hose and head were caked in mould. no hot water available. the room suffered from dampness and subsequently our clothes were damp after hanging in the...
