"The entire place is very clean. From the rooms to the restaurants, bars and shared restrooms were all super clean. Beach view from our balcony (16th floor) and from poolside was awesome. The staff are all welcoming, friendly and make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. My wife and I stayed there for a week for our honeymoon and their services was exceptional. Special thank you to our bartenders De Dios and Jonathan along with one of our servers Edgar Abigail for going above and beyond to make my wife and I feel and share the special moments at Secrets."

"The property was under construction, but that was not listed online. The buffet area was closed and relocated to the conference room area, How food was kept hot and cold was questionable. Overall the food was less than average. The tacos were the best option. Many places in Cancun have moved away from pool towel cards, but not this resort, which is annoying. Many people place their towels early in the am to reserve seats all day. This is annoying. We requested that our two room be connected so we could be connected to our children and they were unable to accommodate that. It was very stressful and my husband and I ended up sleeping in separate beds all vacation because the set up was not ideal. We wanted to come back to this resort cause we got married here in 2010, we thought a 20 year anniversary would be cool, but this validated that we will not be back."

"Nous avons passé un beau séjour dans cet hôtel à Cancun. L’endroit est très propre, les femmes de ménage font un excellent travail et la chambre était toujours impeccable. Les piscines sont magnifiques et bien entretenues, et l’hôtel est superbe avec sa végétation intérieure, ce qui crée une ambiance unique. Cependant, le service est très inégal. Le restaurant italien et le buffet offrent un excellent service, mais ce n’est pas le cas partout. Le petit café a été particulièrement décevant : boissons mal préparées, qualité variable, et certaines excuses peu crédibles concernant des ingrédients disant être manquant mais pourtant visibles sur le comptoir. L’attitude du personnel y laissait aussi à désirer. Nous avons également remarqué une différence dans l’accueil selon les clients, un accueil minimal pour nous alors que d’autre client semblaient recevoir un accueil beaucoup plus chaleureux ce qui nous a mis mal à l’aise. Enfin, certaines expériences au restaurant ont été décevantes, avec des plats ne correspondant pas à leur description. J’ai reçu un plat de pâtes blanche, sans sauce. lorsque j’ai demandé un correction j’ai reçu un plat inondé de sauce soya seulement, se qui n’est pas représentatif a la description. En résumé, l’hôtel est magnifique et très propre, nous nous sommes bien reposée mais le service manque de constance. Avec des améliorations à ce niveau, l’expérience pourrait être excellente."

"Would not recommend. The rooms were extremely outdated. Paint was flaking off walls, outlets and light switches clearly hadn’t been cleaned long enough for dirt to buildup around them. The 4th floor smelled like dirty mop water for the entire trip. The sink wouldn’t drain properly. The food was possibly the worst I’ve had. Would definitely spend the extra 1k to go to a very nice all inclusive. "
