"Breakfast finished promptly at 09:00. The bar was poor, had to take a larger back because it had gone off. No refund was offered although the barman agreed it was undrinkable! They had absolutely no Whisky in stock in the bar and only a couple of bourbons available. Executive rooms on the top (2nd) floor with no lift."

"This hotel has bags of character and is a refreshing change from the likes of Premier Inn. If you don't like creaky floors and things not being level, then this place is not for you! But if you want a warm, comfortable place to rest your head in the middle of the town with friendly staff and great food, then look no further"

"I would not stay again, our double bedroom had very tired decor, peeling paint, lots of dust and cobwebs, and overlooked a flat roof/ fire escape. Seems like the room had been slapped with lots of green paint in attempts to modernise it. Not sure how the accommodation can be described as luxury. If we had been staying for more then one night I would have left early. The parking is very limited, but that is stated when booking. Staff at reception were friendly when booking in."

"Great room cleaned everyday. Swimming pool warm and clean the kids loved it. Mr Chin on reception very helpful and gave advice about where to visit. Would come again. Restaurant could have more food choices but what was there was delicious"
