Where do I start! We stayed here 4 years ago and it was marvellous.it was thriving ,busy, Bustling .
This time when we arrived we was told check in your car else you’ll get a fine ( great fair enough.)
Then sign in and il take a card off you just in case your room gets trashed! Wow! We’re in our 60’s definitely not rock stars, id rather watch telly than chuck it out of the window!
The chap then said it’s so busy here because of the bank holiday ( Monday) that the dining room may not have space / to book in as soon as possible! We didn’t want to dine in as we went into the town anyway.
Breakfast was 7-9 again because it was busy .
Room was comfortable and clean but tired! Creaky floor boards .
Went down to breakfast at 8am not a soul to be seen. There was a list of how many rooms booked for breakfast. They were so busy yeah. 5! 3 had already been and gone! We waited a good 5 minutes before we even saw anyone.
Then we had breakfast which was nice but instead of buffet it was given to us plated .
On leaving an hour later.took cards back to reception. Not a word . We won’t be back again! Travel lodge cheaper £ 97 I didn’t expect the world but much better than what we got
