Basic, but great base for a Paris-visit

Cheap and basic, but clean, functional, and in a great location for trips to Paris, Versailles, or the surroundings. Great service and free parking outside. If you arrive late, the reception of the neighbouring Ibis Red-hotel are very helpful.

Budget hotel, so room was a bit spartan with not a lot of storage space, but kept very clean. Pleasant staff. Nice continental-style breakfast which included fruit salad and yoghurt as well as the usual french bread, croissants, cereal, ham, cheese etc. Pleasant location near a large lake, which has footpaths that (I think) allow you to walk or cycle all around it. Near a main road, so can be noisy if windows open. If using public transport there is a RER station less than 15 minutes walk away with commuter trains to the centre of Paris (lines C, N and U) that take about 35-45 minutes. I found this hotel to be quite cheap and convenient for visiting Paris as a tourist, and would probably stay here again.

The hotel was organized but issues arose which were resolved. Specifically, in the two rooms we had, the third bed was not ready - made and instead they gave us a bag with the bed linens to make it ourselves. Also, on the second day of our stay, the room door had been left open by the maids on the floor, which upset us and put us in the process of inspecting and checking our personal belongings for possible loss. The breakfast was average as it didn't have many choices and after 09:00 almost all the popular items were gone (bacon, eggs, etc.). The pancakes were excellent as were the French croissants.

Δύσκολη πρόσβαση προς το Παρίσι, ειδικά με οικογένειες. Ο σταθμός του τρένου είναι 15 λεπτά περπάτημα. Είχαμε κλείσει τρίκλινο δωμάτιο και το πάνω κρεβάτι δεν ήταν έτοιμο, και μας εδωσαν ένα σάκο με κλινοσκεπασματα να το στρώσουμε εμείς. Το πρωινό φτωχό χωρίς αλλαγές παρόλλο που μείναμε νύχτες.

J ai voulu prendre un oeuf pour le petit-déjeuner. Il était cru je m en sui aperçu quand j ai voulu l écaler!!!.. je n étais pas seul à être surpris.. lorsque j en ai fait par à la personne responsable j ai vraiment eul impression d être un gros lourdeau! C est jamais agréable.. Effectivement il y avait un écriteau derrière les oeufs pas explicite du tout en anglais.En fait il fallait le faire cuire dans la machine à côté... Ce qui me rassure c est que plusieurs personnes se sont fait " avoir"! Donc faites gaffe aux oeufs..
