"The staff were on another level, they are dotted around the hotel and always on hand to help. They were incredibly accommodating and even helped me with some confusion about what to wear to dinner... The waitress at dinner even helped me practice my Japanese. The drum show in the evening was amazing, and the room itself was a little haven, the onsen are clean, the Fuji view onsen is beautiful, the food at dinner was 10/10, I honestly cannot fault this hotel one of the nicest places I have ever stayed"

"This was the third hotel we had stayed in on the first leg of our Japan trip. First, check-in was very simple and the staff was courteous. Second, the room was surprisingly large and everything was clean and fresh. Third, the best part of the room was there was two twin beds and they were very comfortable. I don't understand why Japan hotels have ridiculously hard beds and pillows; very poor sleep. At the previous hotel I had to purchase a new and very nice pillow that I used for the rest of the trip. My wife and I slept very well. Our son/wife were in another room and they also experienced a nice sleep. Fourth, the shower was so great. I wish America had shower stalls like that. Fifth, the hotel provided coffee, tea, hot miso soup packs, cellphone cords for every type and a very nice comfortable lounge on the first floor. No breakfast but restaurants close by. Sixth; The hotel had individual packs of coffee bags (red and blue) and a hot water station on the floor and a kettle in the room. By far the best tasting coffee in Japan. My apologies but I raided the coffee and stashed in my bag. My wife and I enjoyed that coffee at the other 4 hotels we stayed. None of them had good coffee. Seventh, It poured rain on our second day but the hotel had complimentary umbrellas. Nice :) Eighth, The hotel is next door to the train station but you can't hear any noise. Ninth, did I mention that the bed was extremely comfortable and the coffee was oishii. Tenth, will go back again"

"It was a very peaceful location, on the far side of the lake, away from the main town but there were restaurants and most things you would need. The hotel was clean and quiet, the light breakfast offers were welcome but with no direct view of Mount Fuji. I got my first sighting cycling across the bridge at 8am, perfect timing on my way to town."
