Fairmont Chateau Laurier

"We had a great time at the Fairmont. From check-in until check-out everything was excellent. The hotel's architecture, the views, the location, and the art deco swimming pool (worth looking at even if you don't swim) are amazing. Also, everyone who works at the hotel was cheerful, helpful, and warm. I usually prefer small hotels over large luxury hotels, but this one is definitely worth going to."

"Nous avons adoré notre séjour. L’hôtel était central et le service de valet a été super utile pour nous. Les lits étaient confortables et les chambres, très bien insonorisées. Petits hics : la chambre était très humide, les vêtements devenaient humides s’ils étaient sortis de nos valises. De plus, l’espace piscine aurait mérité plus d’entretien : manque de serviette, eau brouillée, plancher sale."

"Très très propre. Suite très bien équipée. J’ai été surprise, je ne m’attendais pas à être impressionnée à ce point. Le déjeuner était vraiment bon et varié et nous avons adoré les boites à lunch de collation pour emporter. Seul bémol, la décoration n’a pas été rajeunie. Mais honnêtement je m’en fou personnellement."

"Large rooms at a reasonable price for Ottawa. Best view for rooms is towards the river (just have to look left on the lower floors). Well stocked with all amenities and a small space in the lobby for snacks, and a grocery store across the street. Parking is definitely tight and not everyone is respectful of the cars beside them so choose wisely. The further down you go the more spaces open up and makes that easier. Take a ticket on entry, then the hotel day pass works for both exit and entry. Another family had an emergency while we were checking our son in and it was handled very professionally by the front desk staff. Kudos to them! The restaurant food was good. Just keep in mind that they do have a kid’s menu, you just have to ask. And yes it is one of those that has to have something different in each entree/dessert. Should have asked for plain ice cream because yam ice cream just doesn’t do it, with a ton of food colouring to make it vibrant ;) Breakfast was very good, large space so not the typical loud breakfast you think of when it is included. Lots of different options. The earlier you go there was no wait. We were down just after 8 but there was a lineup by 9. Would definitely book again."
