Could use a facelift for the price.

This is a really old hotel. The staff were nice enough but there are no ice buckets or in room blow dryers. We were put in the back next to a dumpster and big street light. It could use some sprucing up. We rented it to be close to the tracks but there are nicer places for an extra $100.

Excelent location +++. The rooms are old and a bit worn down, but clean. The refrigerator did not work. Nice and clean pool. We stayed just one night as we were just passing by. Good deal for the price.

You get what you pay for

The best thing about this place was the gentleman at the front desk. He was friendly and professional! This place is extremely dated and worn. It is in need of new furniture, painting, and some repairs. The location was okay. Close to beach access and restaurants. This is a place to stay in a pinch when you just need a night or 2 and don't want to blow your budget since you won't be in your room except for sleeping.

I had no issues but property is a little run down. Bathroom light switch wouldn't turn off. Price is very reasonable considering the proximity to the beach racetrack and casino.

Arrived 12 hours late. Still held my reservation and I did communicate this with them. (Flight issues) Staff even opened the store at midnight for me and Seth is super kind and made sure we were safe and carried our bags. He doesn’t work for the the hotel he works for the store but he is awesome and the rest of the staff was so kind and super helpful. Will be back. Seen mixed reviews and super glad we still stayed here. Clean nice pool and great staff. It’s outdated for sure but exactly the experience we were looking for!

Hi the room was very nice but they have tile flow no carpet tile everywhere and the room in the bathroom I had a handicap room on the floor from the from the shower was flat so that the water ran out from the shower to the floor because of the tile with no blockage of the drain to block the water from the shower to the room so I kind of like almost slipped and because of the water running but the room is clean the TV didn't really have a few channels and the refrigerator in the microwave it was okay so for the price and it was okay

Great area but...

Once the desk clerk finally got to the counter, he was very friendly and polite. Unfortunately when we got to the room the floor was unswept and the room/hotel condition was not great. Looked like water damage on the walls and doors. Chain lock in door was broken and the dead bolt was dismantled. Only door knob lock worked. Definitely needs to be renovated or fixed up. Bed was okay and water was nice and hot. It was decently quiet. After we wiped down all the surfaces with Clorox wipes to feel better we got an okay night of sleep. Unfortunately we will probably not choose to stay again. The area was amazing though. Beach, food, shopping and Walmart within walking distance. Highly recommend the area just maybe not this hotel until it gets cleaned up

Mother of all dives

I booked a room in a pinch,my apartment was being renovated,and it was located conveniently. Never made it past the front desk.Most disgusting ,dirty ,dilapidated place I’ve ever seen.Turned around and walked out,never stayed.Suprised they even would subscribe to a place like this.Of course,Hotels .com refused to refund money.Two agents actually hung up on me.Very disappointing.

I don't recommend it

This hotel is in a good location, but unfortunately, its facilities are run down. As soon as you enter the reception area, you're hit with a terrible shock. There was no air conditioning, but they'd installed a fan, with decor from a thousand years ago. The room was apparently organized and clean, with three beds, excellent for my family group. The sheets were clean, but the mattresses had no protectors. The bathroom was dirty and moldy. There was no hot water; after hours, the water only came out hot. The first night, I didn't sleep at all because someone was smoking marijuana outside the room, and there were also people talking and laughing. The police arrived. Add to that the noise from the air conditioning. It was devastating.

The air conditioning in the reception area was broken. They had a large fan to try to not have it be stale and hot in the lobby. The electrical outlet in the bathroom was covered with clear tape and therefore unusable, yet the fact that they used clear tape made the metal parts in the outlet visible. There was a broken tile in the base of the wall. This break made an opening into the wall that was large enough for an animal to come out of. The manager was very helpful and explained that they did not have any other rooms with the necessary features. He offered to try another style of room, and explained that the maintenance department could try to fix it the next day, but I did not want to risk my safety. After trying to make it work, I realized that I would have to take my business elsewhere.
