"Flawlessly updated, centrally-located historic property ! Quiet with amazingly comfortable beds and a bountiful pantry for enjoyment by guests. Our entire stay was just perfect. We will be back!"
"The breakfast options were good... On Day 1 and 2 Natalia from the kitchen staff was very helpful. If there was a food item that was missing, I asked her and she brought out more. She was always cleaning up, making sure the breakfast food areas was clean, she was always wiping and making the breakfast area look clean. Im not sure of the other ladys name. But her and Natalia resolved the waffle maker issue in a quick time turnaround. The waffle batter dispenser was not working properly. They...
"Run by the kindest people (and friendliest cats!) in all of Salem, and could not possibly be more centrally located! You can walk everywhere from here, and you have a front row seat to any events in the square - it's literally right across the street. Parking in Salem is at a premium, and we are driving a crew cab truck to make it even worse, but Matt went WELL above and beyond to make sure we got a great spot. Do note - it's a lovely old house, but like most old houses, it does have steps, ...

In our opinion, the hotel was very clean and the breakfast was well stocked with good food choice options. Despite the parking lot being full which showed that the hotel was close to/or at capacity, there was never a line at the elevators or at the breakfast area. Our room was clean, the common areas were clean and it's within a short driving distance to multiple shopping...
"We’ve been visiting Salem for over 20 years and this was the first time staying here. We loved it and would stay again! The service was excellent, the staff are friendly, the room was comfortable and perfect for the two of us. The Hawthorne Hotel is a must for travelers visiting Salem, Ma. "
"The Courtyard by Marriott in Stoneham was an excellent location, close to both major Boston- area highways Rt128/95 and Rt 93. The lobby was very welcoming with lots of different areas where you could sit either to chat with others or quietly read a book solo. There was a cute bar area with food nearby and it was an aesthetically pleasing space. The staff was also very helpful. "
