"The location and property are absolutely beautiful! Incredible views! The grounds are kept meticulously! The rooms are clean and neat. The rooms are simple and yet elegant at the same time. The staff were very forgiving of my limited Spanish. A little harder to get to but worth the drive. The restaurant on property was excellent. Just a small sidenote… There was no air conditioner in my smaller room. I knew this going into it and the nice breeze that was almost constant."

"The view and the owner/hostess made our stay! The personal attention at breakfast was delightful. This feels more like renting a villa with a morning chef than like a hotel. There are a couple good restaurants at the bottom of the hill for dinner. The drive to La Fortuna is 30 minutes. Be aware there is no air conditioning. There are windows with screens on 3 sides of the villa so the breeze is nice. In the morning you’ll hear a beautiful symphony of birds. I would stay here again."

"The property is amazing. There are opportunities to see tons of wildlife just from your room or just walking around the trail and even just on the way to the restaurant. The staff were extremely approachable, helpful, and went out of their way to make sure I was having a good time. I came for wildlife photography and many of the staff often pointed out different birds to me and even took me to their favorite spots on the property for wildlife viewing. "Fantastic location for visiting Arenal area. Hotel property is well maintained and easy to get around. Staff were all very helpful, especially when suggesting route to take to next hotel after a landslide closed the main road. Eating breakfast on porch overlooking lake was fantastic!"
