"Practical and pretty decent. The new style rooms are good. Still a bit overpriced for the area but solid. Only issue is walls are thin so can hear everything in next room and lights wired slightly wrong so no way to turn off bathroom light. It’s just teething problems as room just been refurbed. At times a little understaffed at reception but staff are all
Lovely and very helpful. Overall would recommend."
"I don’t usually post negative comments but feel on this occasion it’s require based on the room rate. Our room including bathroom was slightly tired and is in need of a refreshment and lacked your normal toiletries for this level of hotel.
The mini fridge compressors was very loud and as such led to both nights of poor sleep, not ideal when you book a weekend away to recover.
However, the main building was very beautiful and had a nice lounge to relax in the evening."
"We asked for a walk in shower but they gave us a room for a disabled couple. I am 5ft 3" and struggled with the sink etc. My husband is 5ft 10" and found it impossible due to it's low height. There was knowhere to put anything around the sink! We asked to change rooms but were told they were full for our 3 days there. Not what we expected! Next time we will ask for a shower not over a bath."
