"Kyoto these days is packed with tourists. The Brighton is just far enough from the center of town to be quiet and restful while still being convenient. The amenities are far superior to those of similarly priced hotels. My room was large, sparkling clean and looked out at a lovely garden. I only experienced the buffet-style Western breakfast - a large variety of items, all freshly made and delicious. Coffee, too, was very good. And every member of the staff was kind and helpful. I strongly hope these qualities are retained after the upcoming renovation."
"Hotel was not only convenient for buses to all the sightseeing areas, JR trains and local trains. It was truly world class stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Huge room and comfortable bed and strong showers. Breakfast was top notch, best buffet with top quality. "
"The rooms were clean, and the staff was extremely helpful. They held our bags while we checked in, which saved us a lot of stress. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from Kyoto Station and offers a shuttle service to and from the station. "
"We truly had an amazing 4 night stay, staff super helpful, was easy to forward luggage from previous hotel and then forward onto Osaka through the hotel. Price to send two large bags to Osaka was 7000 jyp onsen was brilliant very easy to use. Every day from 3-5pm free beer at the spa linger which has an amazing view over city. Breakfast was the best I have had as buffet breakfast anywhere loads to choose from and all freshly cooked. Beds comfortable, toilets amazing and shower was very powerful. Free water every day, few pjammas and slippers. Honestly perfect for our staff 300m from subway station station from Kyoto. If you stay other places buses don’t allow you to bring large bags so worked perfectly. 15 min walk to to Nishiki Market and very easy to get around."
