You will have to take the subway, which is about a 10 or 25min walk from the hotel, depending on which station, in order to get to the city center. You can also uber and it’s not expensive. The neighborhood is peaceful and safe — with some great restaurants! I personally loved everything about staying here. The staff is so friendly and the hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. From 3-6pm, they offer free wine, sake, coffee, juice, and snacks!

A very nice hotel at a convenient location. Beautiful spacious room (Signature De Luxe) with 2 big beds, a window that could be opened for fresh air, a nice bathroom with separate wc and shower. Superb breakfast and very friendly staff. Only one point to improve: the smoking area close to the beautiful entrance should be closed immediately. Does not fit to this eco hotel. We will be back!

Beautiful traditional style rooms, and really lovely staff. The only niggle is that the restaurant is tiny and wildly overpriced at over 3500 yen for breakfast— you can do much better (half price) if you go down the road to a cafe.

This is a small boutique hotel on a narrow street. Well out of the normal noise and bustle of Kyoto, has a lot of Japanese influence, not a lot of amenities. They don't do laundry but have a good breakfast.

Clean, specious room. Very helpful staff. Close the Tokyo Castle, but you need to take the bus to other attractions, which was fine as buses are frequent and easy to use.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. They have a hand held translator to help communicate when necessary. The rooms were clean and they provided plenty of amenities. It was perfectly located for my needs, and pretty close to some touristy areas as well.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. The room we stayed at was spacious. Staff was was always friendly and they have complimentary juice, coffee, and alcohol at a specific time. Highly recommend!
