I had a wonderful stay at the Kurashiki Centurion Hotel. The location is excellent, just a short walk from Kurashiki Station and very close to the beautiful Bikan Historical Quarter, making it perfect for both sightseeing and convenience.

Great Service & location

The hotel was in a great location, close to the station and Bikan district. All staff are so friendly and can speak English. The room was very comfortable and clean. It would have been great if they provided a bottled water and had more lifts rather than only one lift. No hesitation to recommend to anyone, it was good value for money.

The hotel felt as if it had been renovated from an old love hotel. There were amenities and candies placed at the front desk, but when I tried to throw away the candy wrapper and asked a staff member where the trash bin was, they didn’t take the wrapper and simply handed me a garbage bag instead. The breakfast tasted good and was satisfying, but the dining area was right next to the front desk, so it didn’t feel relaxing. Since the word “spa” was in the hotel’s name, I expected to unwind, which is why I booked it, but I think I could have relaxed more at a regular chain hotel. If you are looking for something cost-effective, I would recommend it. However, if you want to relax, I would suggest choosing a different hotel.

Best location in town to be a hotel.

The Centurions hotel is located in the heart of Downtown which we didn't realize. It was the perfect location. Shopping was all around us. A beautiful mall was a hidden gem located less than 1 block away from hotel. You would never know it was there unless you went out to walk and explore. 100's of restaurants and shops, dessert places, and more. Branches off into many directions putting you in a different location in the city at each exit. The hotel itself was very nice. The staff were excellent and extremely respectful and courteous(Japanese Tradition). The bathrooms were a bit small for larger people but we made do.

It's nice that the hotel is beside the railway station. The hygiene is not well in the room. The dust caust us snoring and bad sleeping. Up front I had asked the hotel to dust the room well. Unfortunately this hotel didn't respond to that.
