"We found the apartment’s lighting was too dark because of dark color of walls and not enough of lighting fixtures. Besides the fixtures are spot lights type so that certain areas were not covered. No headboard lights. The room is quite decent and very clean. Ample space for two people. Location is quite good, closes to the freeway leading to downtown Reykjavik."

"It was a good location but not really walkable to downtown. However there are a few restaurants, coffee houses and grocery stores that are walkable, The bus stop was right there and it was easy to use. Many tours did pickups from there. I felt the hotel provided everything we needed. It was nice to have the breakfast included and options in the evening. The lamb stew was delicious. A lil pricey but in line with Iceland prices. It was very clean and had a wonderful shower."

"So I really wanted to give this place five stars. Its location for the area was ideal, and the private room was excellent. Also, the check in process was perfect; however, the shared bathroom situation was a bit off-putting. Now, I’ve stayed at many locations with shared bathrooms so that wasn’t the issue. "Plenty of parking spaces outside of the hotel, this is a huge plus compared to the downtown hotels. The trade off is you have to drive 18 mins to downtown. I had the room not facing the highway, so I don’t have any street noise at night."

"The hotel location was excellent, with easy access to bus routes and hop on hop off busses. There is a restaurant in the building if you wish to use it. There is a grocery store next door which was very useful. great street to be on with nice stores. We booked a glass house view room which is in the rear of the hotel and they put us in a patio room which is on the basement level rear. I believe this was an error which I was not able to correct."

"We truly enjoyed our stay at The Storm. The location was excellent, it was very clean. It had everything that we needed even though it was minimalist design. We loved the non American breakfast and the dining staff was wonderful.The desk staff went above and beyond. They gave us a map, explained directions, made great dining recommendations.
