"This was a wonderful place to stay and visit the Great Barrier Reef. The hotel is perfectly located, with a 5 minute walk to the marina where all the tours begin for the Great Barrier Reef. "This was our 9th trip to Cairns and the first time staying at the Cairns Plaza Hotel, which is by far out favourite place to stay now. It is located in a quieter end of the esplanade which we really enjoyed but still well within walking distance of downtown Cairns. The hotel was very clean, staff were exceptionally helpful, and the room was comfortable and very spacious. "

"The retro room was so beautiful, especially as we had an ocean view and could have the windows open to hear the ocean and feel the breeze. We were also treated to the acoustic music rambling up the stairwell into our room from the restaurant below. All in all a romantic stay with wonderful staff, food and a very comfortable bed"

"Cute picturesque apartments with an Italian style theme. Great swimming pool and very close to all the dining options and activities in the CBD. Apartment was very clean and had everything I needed. Would happily stay again! "

"Only 10 min by taxi from airport. Not far from seafront and in walking distance to the reef fleet terminal. Very friendly and helpful staff. We have had comfy 3-night stay. We will definitely stay at this hotel again."

"From the minute we arrived the staff were professional, engaging and so very friendly! They were quick to answer our questions and gave us some ideas also that were super helpful.

"Great hotel, friendly staff, good range of food for buffet breakfast and plenty of dinner options and drinks. Located close to the city centre and the attractions were all within 30 mins. Taxi to centre and lagoon etc range up to $15 depending on time of day. We would definately stay again."
