"The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the beds were comfortable. The only surprise was the 20% surcharge on dinner for four at the restaurant. It was separate from the tip. Perhaps it’s a city thing. We would have just preferred to see the menu prices show the actual cost of the meal rather than have an additional charge at the end. The food was very good though."

"I liked the central location of this hotel, and it felt very comfortable. The room itself was a bit small, but for one person it was fine, and bigger than other hotel rooms I’ve stayed in in nyc. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, I slept really well. The walls are a bit thin, I could hear my neighbors talking, and I could also hear people having sex on two separate occasions in the same night. The location is super central and walkable to various shops and restaurants in Williamsburg, and a ten min walk to M and L lines, and a bus that stops right outside! There is free coffee in the mornings until 10 am, and there is also a really cool rooftop bar, that guests of the hotel can get to without paying for a ticket/cover. The view is amazing. And it is open pretty late, so sometimes on the weekend you can hear the music from the room but it’s easy to drown out. I didn’t get a chance to check out the gym, but it has its own level and open 24 hrs!"

"I loved everything about it,pretty much. The only thing that I didn’t like was that the water wasn’t as warm to shower in. But other than that everything was tops. We stayed in the queen great views,on the 12th floor. Took my hubby for Fathers Day. And we had such a wonderful time. Definitely coming back and trying out a different room. If you are looking for a cute place to enjoy and vibe Public is definitely the spot."
