We stayed at Ada Hotel for seven nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is small and charming, perfectly situated in the heart of the Old City, just a short walk from many major historical attractions. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. The included breakfast, served with a magnificent view, was a lovely extra. I highly recommend this hotel!
Ada hotel is a hotel from a horror movie . I have never seen a worse hotel than this one . Crack on the walls , dirty windows , brown towels with holes . I had to find another hotel to stay . I cried when I saw it because it was awful . Please don’t book it , you will find much better hotels around . I am surprised with all good reviews this hotel received on expedia
We loved our stay at Ada Hotel and would definitely go back again. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the historic city centre with only a short part of the walk uphill. The view is amazing from either the breakfast room or one of the rooms with a sea view - over a mosque and looking out at the Sea of Marmara with the ships there. We also really liked the hot tub in our room, very pleasant after a long day of walking with lots of hills. The Turkish style breakfast was also excellent. I just wish it had started earlier that 8 am, but there was enough time to eat and get out to the sites when they opened (the start of the morning is quieter for visiting almost everywhere).
No stay is perfect, so for full disclosure I will note that the calls to prayer from the mosque beside the hotel can be very loud and one is in the middle of the night (we did sleep through it with earplugs). Also there were some ants that appeared in the room a day or two into our stay. I don't know how common this is in Istanbul.
Overall, I would recommend it, and I'd go back. It's worth paying for one of rooms with a sea view.

We Westerners should br realistic about speed and comfort possible in historic buildings in the heart of beautiful, safe, historic areas. As long as you can handle narrow stairs it is a great base for exploring without need of extra transit.
Location was excellent for walking to the big tourist sites. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had lots of choices with an amazing 5th floor location for viewing the city and water.
Was picked up and dropped off with an airport van for an extra charge.
Amazing Breakfast & View from the dining area! Superb Staff! Walkable distance from Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, and Grand Bazaar! Lots of restaurants and quaint shops around!
Our receptionist Ali pointed us in the right direction for really experiencing the local scene in Istanbul. Super help to us. Love the room. So clean! Bed & sheets was excellent
