"The Public is situated in a great location near China Town. Little Italy, and SoHo. It’s a pretty fast cab ride to Midtown and downtown. I didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant because it was closed. The café was pretty good with breakfast food, fresh juice, and coffee. Housekeeping was very accommodating and the room was clean and orderly. There are things in the room that are comfortable for example thats a bit awkward, for example, there was no place to hang a towel in the bathroom area, no Kleenex, and no hairdryer, so I had to request these items. There are no hooks so you have to place it somewhere close to the shower, which is very tiny. The design is very much like the Edition hotel near Times Square, which I’ve stayed at several times and I enjoy because there is an amazing restaurant and bars. It’s very minimalist design. The table could use one more chair and better quality seating/chairs. I did not get a chance to sample the rooftop bar, but I will have to do that on my next journey or the club for that matter. The front desk staff was very helpful in anything that I needed. Andy, the front desk manager was also very accommodating. I typically stay in upscale properties in Midtown and this hotel really held its own against bigger brands that are more luxurious. It has a younger vibe, which was fine. Overall, a very comfortable stay."

"The furniture outside and inside the coffee bar/bar area was filthy. The carpet in the halls was so dirty. The showers had dirt in the corners. Our bathroom door (a sliding situation) wouldn’t shut completely which was irritating. Upon arrival we were told we would receive a daily $25 credit for the bar or cafe and when we tried to do this we were told they weren’t doing room charges."

"This was our first time in NYC and staying at the Ace Hotel came highly recommended by a family friend! It did not disappoint - great location in mid-town, just a short walk away from all major subway stations and the Empire state building, making our trip super accessible and easy to navigate. The main lobby itself is just such a vibe and is always bustling with people having coffee, drinks or working. Our Medium King room was nice and spacious, the bed/pillows were super comfy and the room/bathroom was perfectly clean. Loved coming back to a freshly made-up room at the end of the day exploring the city. Front desk staff were also super friendly and helpful. Only thing to note was that our room’s A/C had a loud, ongoing rattle that woke us up a couple times. Will definitely be back!!!!"
