"This has become like our local. We love the hotel, it’s close to the shopping centre, lovely little area, good for children and peaceful. The only issue we found is the mattress was heavily stained, they could do with looking at these as the cleaners would notice this when making the bed and don’t pick up on it. Other than that, we still enjoyed our stay."

"The property is very comfortable and in a quiet location with shops no too far of…Has all the amenities you can think of,you literally can go to this place empty handed and still be comfy,you need to get yourself and toothbrush and toothpaste in the nearby shops though 😂but over it’s an excellent place and for sure I will return"

"This hotel is a hidden gem! The host, Maria, is truly wonderful. Her attention to detail is fab, and she couldn't be anymore helpful and welcoming. Maria stayed late for my colleagues check in and then came in early to accommodate us for an early breakfast. The dinner was divine - strongly recommend the tikka curry. Home cooked, beautiful meal. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I will ensure I book here when I visit Birmingham again!!!"

"Our stay was ok for what we paid. The room was clean but had no air conditioning, which in the heat wave was a bit uncomfortable. A fridge in the room would have been good. Breakfast was decent and they have a Starbucks onsite which was great. The staff were friendly and overall I would say it was value for money."

"The rooms are like student dormitories. The beds are worn out, the walls have marks, and the washrooms are ok. Breakfast was good."

"Upon arrival, we were informed the pool is faulty and can’t be accessed. The carpet on the hallways was extremely dirty. The room has very poor lighting. The bathroom had only a shower so it’s not convenient if you don’t want to wet your hair. There was dirty plates and rubbish left infront of most rooms for hours. Also, for breakfast, I would rate it 5/10. The buffet was stored in rusted heavy bowls and lids you will have to lift up. Also there was no hot chocolate just coffee and tea bags....

"Everything about the hotel was perfect, and I will definitely consider Holiday Inn Express in the future as a priority. The hotel was spotless and the room was everything that you would want it to be. I particularly loved the blackout curtains, comfortable bed, pillows, and spacious bathroom. It was very quiet and I slept very well. Reception were really helpful and interested in whether you were having a good stay Breakfast was great and the woman who were attending the tables and the food...

"Staff were lovely on check in. The shower was poor quality, the beds were unfortunately very uncomfortable and there was a lot of noise from other guests. The rooms seemed to be clean though. "

"This hotel is ideal if you have a child at University of Birmingham. Close to Morrisons and Costa with a tram connection just past Morrison which can take you straight to the Bullring for £3.50 return."

"The staff were helpful, the hotel was clean- however, on the Friday evening when I arrived the Internet was down, and still down when I went out after 9 am Saturday morning. Otherwise, a comfortable stay."
