Top Guernsey Hotel Reviews

The Pandora Hotel
8/10 Good
"The hotel is ideally situated up the hill from St Peter Port. The single room I had was clean and adequately equipped even if a little dated. The restaurant, bar and garden areas were more in keeping with the hotel and were clean, tidy and comfortable. The breakfast was part buffet and part waiter service and I found there was a good choice of cooked breakfasts. I visited on the hottest days in June and the 3rd floor room was incredibly hot as there is no air-conditioning. There were no curtains on the single big window just vertical blinds which didn't keep out much light as they didn't close properly and rattled all through the night as I needed the windows fully open. On asking at reception, I did borrow a fan but it wasn't very effective at cooling down the room. Staff at the hotel were friendly, courteous and helpful. The gardens are delightful! I would definitely stay at this hotel again if returning to Guernsey."

Le Friquet Country Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely hotel, set back from the main road with beautiful gardens, pool with beds and umbrellas just arrived the week we arrived as was the delightful weather. Staff very friendly and polite. Room kept clean. Wish they had a fridge on room, but otherwise a great gem. Food is restaurant was excellent too. Not too far into St Peter port and other places, are never too far away. Garden centre worth a visit for a coffee or some lunch. La baguette over the road too. I would come back here if I visit Guernsey again."

Driftwood Inn
8/10 Good
"Great location overlooking bay, set back from road, although we had a room at the rear of the property. Plenty of parking but area around the hotel generally needed tidied up. Needed a lit sign to make it easier to find at night. Liked the nautical vibe throughout the hotel especially in the breakfast/lunch/dining room which has great views out to sea. If you didn't want the cooked breakfast the continental breakfast was a bit limited. Room clean and bed very comfortable but felt choice of blinds didn't keep out the light in the morning or the heat during the day. Sound did travel between adjoining rooms. Staff all very helpful and pleasant, and we enjoyed our stay and would consider using again when we return to Guernsey, which we hope to do soon."

Cobo Bay Hotel
8/10 Good
"Spacious, light room. No aircon, although a tower fan was provided free of charge. Small table top in-room fridge was an extra (minimal) charge per night though. Modern bathroom, shower looked great but shower tray bowed a little underfoot and wasn't the biggest space to shower in. Staff were friendly and helpful. The dining room was spacious with views out to the sea. Breakfast was delicious."

The Duke Hotel
8/10 Good
"Friendly and helpful staff - complimenrary drink on arrival as oyr room wasnt ready. Batteries refreshed in room heating/cooling fan remote handset when requested. Delicious breakfast but we found dining in the conservatory quite cramped and invasive. Our room was a quirky shape, the TV was tiny. Bathroom was ckean and modern except for the ill fitting shower head and very narrow bath. Lovely outside patio area."

Grange Lodge Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely old hotel in good location close to Town centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. I didn't have a swimsuit but enjoyed dipping my feet in the pool after a warm day."

The Peninsula Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay there and plan to return soon this year."

Duke of Normandie Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"All aspects of our stay were excellent. The staff were all very helpful and polite, it makes a big difference to be greeted with a smile every morning. The rooms were comfy and nicely decorated. We would not hesitate to return to this hotel on our next visit."

Fermain Valley Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The room and en-suite were lovely - beautifully appointed and very quiet. Just what we needed. The staff went out of their way to help. There are three car parks and we had no trouble parking. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of food for every taste. There are three restaurants, The Ocean, The Steak House and Buho (serving Mexican food). Sadly, The Ocean was only open one night during our four night stay as the fish dishes there were excellent. Seemed such a shame as Guernsey is famous for it's seafood. One niggle about The Steak House: the red wine was served warm - but the staff did provide some crushed ice to help! One point not related to the hotel but one to note - although parking everywhere is free you need to display a time clock on your dashboard to show what time you arrived in the car park and car parks are divided into different length stays. Be warned! We had no idea how this operated and found that you can buy the clocks (£6)either from the Tourist Information Bureau or the Police Station. All in all, a lovely hotel and a beautiful island to visit."
