Shower runs out fast, coffee difficult to figure out with no cream to add. Nice location, but everything felt cheap. Room needs to be maintenanced (toilet paper roll falling off, kitchen sink leaking). Space is noisy, but you are in centralized location so to be expected, but walls very very thin. No idea where to take out trash, so it piled up.

Pros: - The check in process was clear and easy to follow. - Location was great, situated close to landmarks, restaurants and shopping stores. Cons: - Hot water for shower was limited to a maximum of 10 minutes per day and on the final night/day did not function at all, especially inconvenient given the cold weather. - Despite arriving in winter, there were no extra covers or blankets provided. While we were able to locate additional blankets in an alternate building after communicating with the host, these blankets were cot sized and we needed 3 to cover the entire bed. - The bed cover was too thin and also had a small stain on it. - Air-conditioning only functioned intermittently and required a representative to come adjust the settings, after which it continued to only function intermittently. The host was kind enough to offer a separate room for the night.

Overall we had five apartments for thirteen people. The office maintain good communication with us and the staff was very helpful. The on-site staff person tried to take care of our needs and even made taxi reservations for us. The apartment size gave us visiting space and the kitchen and clothes washer were handy. The only problem we had was an occasional foul sewage odor in one of the apartments. The in-house staff tried to resolve the problem, but didn’t completely resolve the issue. The location is excellent and the major attractions are within easy walking distance. We would stay here again.

The stay was generally very good, the only issue was our apartment was at the front of the building and overlooked the road, and at night the traffic noise was very load and sleep was sometimes difficult.

This property comes with extremely high ratings. I had booked it specifically because of its location, high ratings, and kitchen with washer/dryer. The suite we were given for our week long stay was not at all the clean and bright suite pictured. The bathroom had a HORRIBLE sewer smell. The property is bandaiding the problem by using an automated air freshener (ironically it was out during our stay) and an air purifier (which did not help). The noise level at all hours of the day and night was also unreal. This is an older building and there were gaps in the windows when shut that could be seen through. They did next to nothing for sound control. What did save us was the a/c units which had a powerful fan option. That helped to stop block out the conversations we could hear 5 floors up from the street. Our fifth night, both a/c units stopped working. The hotel was fully booked so we were SOL. Normally we would sleep with the windows open in this situation, but given the noise, you can understand why we did not. There was a plug in fan which we used, but it was an extremely warm sleep. Maintenance never came to check either issue in the suite. We were able to move for our last night to a suite at the back of the property. It was extremely quiet and did not have a fan or bathroom air freshener telling me we got a lemon of a unit at first. We were refunded a very small portion and I have never heard back from the company regarding my concerns. I’d never stay with this chain.

Weekend in Florence

Very central location - 1 minute from Ponte Vecchia. Very comfortable room with a small kitchen area. View from the balcony wasn’t very exciting - looking onto other apartment balconies - but we did go for one of the cheaper rooms and photos of other rooms suggest some balconies have better views. Rooms aren’t serviced during your stay but we were only there three nights so not a problem for us. All communication is by email or WhatsApp and you are given a code to check in (no check in desk) but it all works well and we received several texts during our stay to check all was ok. The only problem for us was the people staying above us were quite noisy (at about 3 in the morning) and being an old building the soundproofing between floors isn’t great but all in all a very good stay and I would recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Bib”à. The location is near everything you want to see. Minutes from ponte Vecchio. Lots of shopping and restaurants right in the heart of beautiful Florence.

We loved our stay at Bob W tremendously! It’s in a very central location and we could easily walk to all major attractions. We stayed in the Epic Studio Terrace room and had a stunning balcony with beautiful views. Couldn’t recommend this property more!

Frustrating experience

We were so disappointed with our experience at Bob W. We arrived to a room that did not have the advertised laundry or king sized bed, and the bathroom smelled of urine. Then when trying to fix the situation, it took nearly two hours to communicate with first the AI attendant, then someone via the chat function. With all that, they did upgrade our room, but only for one night, so we had to move rooms again the next day, and we still had the king bed issue given the false advertising. They list it as a king but then chatted us that it was a 'Euro King,' aka a queen bed. The whole thing felt like a waste of time and money, and we will not be staying at a Bob W again.

Full review below - lengthy but worth it. Bob W Ponte Vechio is in a great location, and based on all of the reviews was why we picked this hotel while staying in Florence. Booking was easy and convenient. That’s where the good stops. Note that this is not a hotel with a front desk, daily room service, etc. This is more of a service apartment. We checked in and the room was clean, but the room looks tired. The flooring was misaligned, the bathroom sink faucet leaked, the bathroom counter is warped. When staying here, there is only enough hot water for one person to shower, as there is only a small water heater in the bathroom. The duvet had no cover on it and was stained. There was no safe in the room for valuables. The hotel is also extremely loud. You can hear every time someone walks into the building, closes the door, and walks up the stairs. The worst part came where we lost power in our room from 6am -2pm on day. Fortunately they could fix it that day, but was an inconvenience. While this hotel looks promising, I would consider other options.

Location is excellent - inside the gates of old Florence - easy walking distance to cultural and historical interests and Ponte Vecchio. The suite living area is spacious and clean; however the bathroom space is cramped, shower stall small and in need of an upgrade. In the middle of the action it can be noisy with the vintage hear-through-windows.

If you’re looking for a place that is very walkable from local attractions and food, look no further! Great location. Big apartment that didn’t have us feeling on top of each other. We had everything we needed, with amenities like the gym included. Overall great stay, definitely enjoyed this property!
