Charming Hotel in Florence

What a charming hotel! Very close to the train station, and easy walking distance to all things in Florence. The owner was so friendly and helpful, giving us a map when we checked in to show us places to see that would be free on Sunday. Breakfast was lovely, and the coffee was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Beatrice.

This was a great find. Very close to the train station and walking distance to the main sights in Florence. The gentleman working the desk was an absolute gem of a person. Nice little common room where we could relax at the end of the day with other couples that we were traveling with. If I am ever back in Florence I will stay here again.

Room is small, hotel is old, breakfast only served 7:30-9:30, rooms cleaned only before 12 noon, so if you stay in your room past then, no cleaning. Check-out time is early, and management not flexible, even when i asked to check out only 1 hour later, at 12 noon. Breakfast is very limited. Laundry charge is expensive, 10 euro for only one item. Outside street can be noisy at times.

It was an excellent stay in a quiet street 5 mins away from the train station and about 10 mins away from the centre. Very easy to walk almost anywhere. The rooms are spacious unlike the norm in Italy, air conditioning and private shower. Very comfortable beds and a nice breakfast to start the day. Constantine for your assistance and a friendly welcome.

The host is very friendly and accommodating ("A"), and the location is very near the train station. Unfortunately the unpleasant incense smell at the front desk filled the place in a suffocating way; and voices anywhere from the front and hallways are loud in the rooms.

Enjoyed our stay

Location was perfect, being near the main station and also close to the sites. Although the interior was a little dated in appearance, it was clean and comfortable. The water was always hot for when you want a shower and standard toiletries were always replenished so you don’t run out. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially Constantine who gave us invaluable advice and suggestions on what to do and where to go. I would definitely use this hotel again.

The owner is always present (it’s his family hotel for 70 years) and incredibly knowledgeable about Florence. He greets you at the elevator at any hour. He also gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations as well as suggestions on places that should not be missed. 10 out of 10 would definitely stay here again.
