"We stayed at 4 different hotels on our journey along the way, and this by far was the worst one. The staff acted as if you are invisible. Not the front desk - the other staff. Trying to walk with a luggage cart? They don't move/mind/care/walk in front of you/cut you off/etc. For some reason they set the floor blower right in the middle of the walkway (so had to go a whole different route with luggage cart). No hellos, nods, nothing when passing by them. It was so strange and felt so unwelcoming. Then, I'm still baffled as to why they decided to put the towels INSIDE the shower (see pic). And I'm sorry, but using zip ties for shower hooks is ghetto for as much as this room cost. "

"I had an issue with the room: the sink was flooding, and the room smelled of mildew and mold. I asked whether they could move us, they said they were fully booked. The next day, I woke up sick from the moldy smell, left to get something to eat before the conference. Came back to water running from under the sink. I asked them could they do some type of reimbursement for the inconvenience of the room. Then was asked to move rooms when we literally stopped to put or food in the refrigerator. Having to pack everything an rush to get out there to make the our meeting which we still ended up being late to. As soon as we stepped off the elevator the maintenance man had fixed the sink. So now we was inconvenience by having to rush and move out the room. For them to fix the sink in less than 10mins. Fast forward to that night I ended up being so sick from the mold smell I couldn't leave the room that evening. I had breathing on top of coughing issues. Only to see how nasty the mattress was.. I asked the front desk if they could reimburse me something cause I've stayed at that hotel 3years in a row and Thats the first time I've had a horrific experience. Only for them to tell me they moved my room. That wasn't good enough. You put us in a room with nasty mattress and to top it off when we went to remove our food from the refrigerator it wasn't even working. I had brought some perishable that had to remain refrigerated and it was ruined. "

"Lots of character and Southern hospitality offered at this hotel. Walking distance to great restaurants, local shops and fun attractions. "

"Their breakfast is decently good they do have a variety. They have a pancake machine. They have better yogurt at this hotel. It’s super clean fresh. The only thing is is that there was a white girl at check-in time first thing in the morning and she denied me of checking in, stated that the hotel was completely packed even though their parking lot did not look like it. She wouldn’t allow me to check in early and we were there for basketball tournament games. I also requested when I first booked the hotel months ago that I needed an early check-in because we normally play earlier in the day. So I arrived at the hotel at 10 AM and she made me wait until literally check-in time at 3 PM. So if you plan on arriving early and trying to get settled is not about to happen here so be careful and do not schedule anything if you can’t check in early because it definitely messed our trip up. Other than that, it was great when I came back to actually check in there was a Black Girl there and she was extremely nice quick and effective so I do appreciate person number two being nice because the first lady was rude."

"Breakfast buffet was $24.95 and I ate my fill, Eggs were good, Turkey Sausage was well done, and with Maple syrup it was delicious. Staff was welcoming and this "older" hotel was once a crown jewel, that has had a refresh! Our room had new carpet, updated fixtures and the bed was great. Parking was limited, but we managed to get a spot with Vallet having our best interest at heart. Nice staff, nicely updated amenities and I would stay again, no questions asked. I would rate my stay as a Solid 8.59%"
