"The property wasn’t ready when we arrived for 3pm, eventually ready at 5pm. When we arrived the fridge was not turned on so we could not refrigerate anything for several hours, the doors were left closed so when opened the fridge smelled awful & very unhygienic. Cutlery & utensils were rusty & in very poor condition. "Great location and value for money...would stay again."

"After finally being allocated a room, the room was stiflingly hot as this was the hottest May on record, and the in room AC did not work. As such we had to open the window later that evening when the outside temperature had dropped low enough, but were then unable to get any sleep as the hotel backs on to a railway station, and we had to listen to trains arriving and departing probably every 10 mins or so until about midnight. We were leaving the hotel at 3:30am and so had not sleep at all."

"The Waterside Hotel was very good in terms of facilities and staff. However, the room was exceptionally hot after a spell of warm weather. The main issue though was that there was no shower! I had upgraded to a King Room. There was a corner bath with a handheld shower attachment. There was nowhere to sit the attachment without soaking the entire bathroom which led to having to switch the shower on and off to wash. A standard room with decent shower would have been a better option."

"Whilst the staff were extremely helpful, and the room was fairly clean, it was extremely dated. It was also extremely hot, to the extent I could not sleep at all. There was no Aircon, so the windows were open, though the other sides of the building prevented any breeze. Also, staff from the restaurant were in and out constantly chatting right outside my window. Overall, with some modernisation and a means of cooling the rooms, and newer sheets (very scratchy), it could be a good place."
