"We enjoyed the location of the hotel at the friendly staff at the reception. The food at dinner was not really great and the overall service in the restaurant for breakfast/ dinner as well. The coffe was old and cold when served, or nobody served one for a long time etc "

"The property is like going into a novel set in the late 1800- early 1900s. The original workmanship was beautiful and the updates have changed it a little but it still has the essence of the time. The key and mail cubbies are there and the library doesn't have many books but has some interesting old items. The pool, terrace, and balcony off my 3rd floor room gave guests several places to be outside to enjoy the wonderful view. The bathroom taps were tricky to turn on and then continued to...

"Enkelt hotell med mycket bra läge i Funchal. Plus för att det fanns balkong och ingick frukost. Minsks för att duchmunstucket i duschen var katastrof, samt kuddarna i sängen var alldeles för tunna. Är man känslig för hårda sängar ska man inte välja det här hotellet, men för mig gjorde det inget. "

"The location was perfect at the sea, we had a room with a seaview. Personnel was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with many various dishes. We liked everything else except a couple of cockroaches we saw in the room two times during our stay. "
