"I had been recommended this hotel/guesthouse as a good stopping point on my way to Champasak. This was good as the bus journey was an experience! I enjoyed my time at this hotel, and I had a room with a balcony. The staff were friendly and I enjoyed the food that I had over the time I was there."

"What a fabulous hotel is the Pakbeng Sanctuary Lodge. A stunning view over the Mekong River, beautiful rooms and a lovely bar/ restaurant. There are 2 areas, the lower with superior rooms, a restaurant and swimming pool, and the upper with deluxe rooms and suites, also with a separate restaurant. We were upgraded to a suite and it was luxurious. The food is lovely and the drinks cold. The included breakfast was tasty."

"I loved this hotel in Champasak. It was so tranquil and friendly. Loved going to the back garden and sitting on the Mekong river to read. The staff were friendly and so helpful. The food was amazing, with a good mix of western and local food. I would definately recommend this little gem of a hotel for pure relaxation and enjoying your time in Laos. Visiting Wat Phou early in the morning was a must, and I would have liked to visit Si Phan Don, but that was expensive as I was by myself so I...
