"This hotel likely had not been stayed at in at least a year. The owner was also not aware we were coming after we had made the Expedia booking. He was very kind and made it work, but this hotel, as well as the entire neighborhood around it, is completely run down and looks as if the town was shut down a decade ago. "For a cheap style hotel located on the far outskirts of Hanoi it was surprisingly good. The rooms are large, air-conditioned and have two big double beds (hard matresses) and a small private bathroom (a bit run down but good hot water). Room even has a smart TV....but that's about it. "The hotel is located within walking distance of West Lake, eateries, stores. Rooms are big, clean, and super cold. I believed the hotel just opened recently therefore there is still some strong fresh paint and cleaning agents’ smell.
