"Beautiful property in lovely grounds. It was a very last minute break, and we just opted for a Classic Room, but it was spacious with an excellent bathroom and a beautiful view of the gardens. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient throughout. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend the hotel and are already looking forward to a return stay."

"Sadly disappointing - cleanliness lower than expected; stains on furniture and bedding, rips in carpet, dusty and flickering light fittings, dust in wardrobe and bedside cabinets. Air con in room not working; small fan already switched on in room upon arrival. Windows could not be fully opened (understandable due to health and safety) - but some were totally sealed due to being covered in layers of paint. Breakfast okay but dirty tables and cobwebs on walls. I’m not against dogs staying at any...

"Such a quaint old Welsh building in a lovely rural setting just outside of the market town of Ruthin (it is in the middle of a static caravan park but a very pleasant one). A great location for exploring the many places to see around the area . Rooms are of a good size and well equipped. Restaurant menu was limited but is being updated and the prices were reasonable, as was the bar. Breakfast was enough to keep you going for the day. Never got to use the pool but looked inviting. "Staff was attentive and pleasant. Problems were that they ran out of basic breakfast menu items. Additionally, the property is not air conditioned and no fans were available until we requested one. The windows were restricted from being opened beyond two inches. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. On one evening, the hotel was completely out of ice."
