"Warm welcome and friendly staff, however quite a modest property even for a BnB and at this price point. Small room with very small shower. Fine breakfast but only instant freeze dried coffee, and few options if you don't want a fry up. Immediate area full of litter on streets (like most of Barry). I know this isn't their fault but it's a location point. Overall a fine place to stay but I'm surprised current reviews are quite so high -- afterall, a warm and friendly welcome should be expected...

"Lovely hotel, beautiful inside. staff were really helpful and friendly. Beautiful location. The only things that let it down, was the annexe we stayed in, could of done with a bit of updating and an iron. But other than that i would advise staying in one of the rooms inside the hotel. "Great location, beautifully decorated room and good quality bedding, towels, toiletries etc.
However .. our room (9) was TINY .. the gap on one side of the bed was approx 8 inches between the bed and the wall so very difficult to navigate safely particularly at night without stubbing your toe on the one side or bumping into to door handle on the other.
There was no where to put a suitcase to unpack other than on the bed or the floor which was difficult for us.
The en-suite was tastefully...

"Lovely well maintained modern rooms with sparkling bathroom and plenty of hot water for great shower. Nice to see eco facilities. Breakfast and dinner were superb and akin to gastro pub quality and generously portioned. We wouldn’t hesitate to return next time we visit family in the area. "Stayed here 2 nights as I was attending nearby Festival. I Called Les the host and he was very accommodating leaving my keys in the safe box. The room was clean and housekeeping came daily. The bed was very Comfortable i had 2 really good night sleep here. Bayside is right next to the beach which was a bonus as it was a warm bank holiday weekend. Definitely recommend a stay here."
