"I upgraded to the apartment over the studio for cheaper. Normal rates were $79 but I booked it for less. Arrived at 9pm and checked out by 11am (supposedly 10am is their normal check out time). It’s very walkable so on Sunday night, it looked dead. At 9am Monday morning, the whole area was popping. So the location is great. The room is average for Kenya and better than average bc the WiFi worked very well. Hot water? The desk told me to turn it on so it is strange by American standards but Kenya seems quite common. I did not use the kitchen or tv but the 1 bedroom apartment is plenty for 1-3 ppl unless you’re tall. The couch could barely fit me at 5’7 who napped for an hour. Overall, the bathroom is dated from the 1980s but it’s all good. I felt safe and the location is on point — I walked to an Ethiopian place with Afghan food (and halal goods) with so many local shops and a park nearby (5-15 minutes away)."

"My arrival got off to a complicated start, at reception my reservation and room weren't checked and I was given the key to a budget room, I declined that and was shown another room which was budget with a TV, which I said this isn't the room I've prepaid for, the hotel staff didn't seem to believe I'd booked a executive pool view room until I showed them my booking and receipt that I'd prepaid, I was eventually given the right room with the intervention of a staff member Joyce because I told her I was going to find another hotel and leave she asked if she could sort this out for me and not to leave I agreed and from that was given a great room and with good internet access and an amazing comfortable bed the day after my arrival from then there were no further issues. This hotel has the most amazing staff, friendly, welcoming and efficient and made my stay a pleasure,good facilities and great food and good pool. Downside is there's no kettle in the rooms, I asked but none available which is rare today in most hotels, they will bring you a flask of hot water for a fee but you feel a nuisance always asking for one,so maybe that needs looking at . Anyway a good stay at SNL but I have to thank the staff personally who made it so, Joyce, Kate,Katherine, Regina and Maggie on security you are all in my opinion a credit to this establishment and because of all of you yes I would stay here again, thank you...."
