"Four years ago, we stayed at the Hotel Les Grands Montets as part of our Tour du Mont Blanc ten-day trek. We had two nights there as we prepared for our last two legs of hiking on our trek. Unfortunately, poor weather did not permit us to take the preferred route to the Lac Blanc -- wind and precipitation made that leg too dangerous. We did an alternate route. We decided to complete the Lac Blanc section one day.
This year, we completed that leg of the trip under excellent weather...
"Staying in a hotel in the mountains above Chamonix, accessible only by a quaint train (30 minutes) where you can go on incredible hikes or just relax on the patio and stare at the glorious mountains... well, it doesn't get better than that. Everyone on the staff was attentive and nice, and the family room was perfect for my husband, myself, and our teenage daughter (who got her own space). We loved it!!"
"The property was great. The room and bed were very comfortable. The balcony offered Wonderful views of Mont Blanc.
The spa and hot tub or outdoors, and provided a wonderful view of Mont Blanc.
There is a high-end restaurant with a well esteemed chef on staff. We did not have a meal, however we have heard that it is very good."

"Het was een top verblijf. Martigny is compact en sfeervol. Gastheer van het verblijf is uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Prachtige vergezichten.
Heerlijk geslapen en de kerkklok is stil tussen 23.00-7.00 uur.
Tip voor als je in Martigny verblijft, ga met de Mont Blanc Express naar Chatelard VS en neem de Verti Alp naar lacD'Emosson."
"Am enchanted place just a few hundred meters outside of Chamonix. The room was big and comfortable, with a very nice terrace. The place was incredibly silent and immersed in the forest, nearby a roaring river. "
