I booked the Ocean View Junior Suite, and the view was stunning. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and their room service was one of the best I’ve ever experienced. I tried all the restaurants. La Joya was a standout! The drinks at the lounge and pool bars were great too, and I loved that they have jet ski rentals on-site.
The location is perfect at walking distance to shops, convenience stores, and nightlife. They don’t offer complimentary transportation to downtown, but they’ll call a taxi for you. I used the public bus (12 pesos vs. $400+ for a taxi) and had no trouble navigating — it was a nice way to get a local feel.
The only downside for me was the spa. I booked a deep tissue massage and personalized facial. The facial was very basic, she did a cleanse and charcoal activated mask, an ampoule and moisturizer. And the esthetician stopped extractions halfway and didn’t explain any of the products she was using or why. I had to ask and she said “mhmm your face is dehydrated, but it’ll be better if you start drinking more water.”The massage was just okay, no feedback or real attention to problem areas (which I made sure to inform her of). It felt superficial and not worth the price I paid. That said, I did enjoy their hydrotherapy area, super relaxing and clean.
Overall, I had an amazing stay and would definitely return just wouldn’t recommend the spa if you’re expecting a high-end experience.
